⚾Baseball, the Blue Jays, and English Conversations at Jabble Musashi-Kosugi Eikaiwa

Anyone who knows me knows I love baseball.
Even though the Angels are my number one favorite team, I was really looking forward to watching the Blue Jays in the World Series this year for a couple of reasons.
For one, I grew up in Canada, and they’re Canada’s only Major League team.
On top of that, I’m a huge fan of Mad Max Scherzer, and I really wanted to see him play in the World Series again in his later years.

I woke up early on the day of Game 7 to grill some hotdogs and make nachos to eat while watching the game.
It kind of felt like getting ready for Christmas morning!

To be honest, even though neither of the teams were my number one favorite, I was disappointed that the Blue Jays lost.
They haven’t won a World Series since before me—or most of my Canadian friends—were even born!
The Dodgers won just last year, so I was really hoping Toronto could take it this time.
Still, it was exciting to see so many Japanese fans cheering for Ohtani and Yamamoto. Yamamoto did a fantastic job and he absolutely deserved the MVP.

Now that the baseball season is over, my friends and I are going to use a baseball simulator called Out Of The Park Baseball to start a fantasy league.
We can draft any player from any league and any point in history, and it generates simulated games based on real player stats.
Don’t tell my friends this, but I think Pedro Martinez will be my first draft pick!
