I still remember exactly where I was in July 2016. I was standing in my living room, waiting for Pokémon GO to load for the first time.
Suddenly, the game started up and offered me a choice between Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur.
I picked Charmander—missed a few Poké Balls trying to catch it—and then immediately stepped outside to see what else was around.
I didn’t realize it at the time, but that moment would turn into a daily habit that’s lasted for years.
Even now, more than eight years later, I still open Pokémon GO every day. When I’m waiting for the train at Funabashi Station, I spin PokéStops.
On my walk to the supermarket, I catch Pokémon. I’ve even brushed my teeth with one hand while catching a Snorlax with the other.
The game has become part of all the quiet, in-between moments of my day.
People often ask me, “Don’t you get tired of playing the same game every day?” But honestly… I don’t.
That’s the charm of Pokémon GO—it changes with the world around me. New events, new Pokémon, and new places keep the experience fresh.
Even a small detour on the way home can lead to a surprise encounter that makes my day.
🌍Growing Alongside the Game
When I first started, I didn’t know anything about IVs, raids, or community days.
I just caught whatever popped up on my screen. Over time, though, Pokémon GO became more than a game—it became part of my routine and my memories.
I’ve moved apartments, changed commutes, and met new people through raids.
I’ve even chatted with other players around Funabashi who were doing the same thing—walking, catching, exploring.
It’s like a quiet community that connects people without needing to say much.
☀️ My Daily Ritual
Every morning starts the same:
I open gifts for friends.
Spin the nearest PokéStop.
Feed a berry to my buddy Pokémon.
During my commute, I catch a few more. At night, I might evolve some Pokémon before bed.
It’s not about long sessions—it’s about those tiny, consistent moments that add up over time.
I’m not chasing the rarest Pokémon anymore. Instead, I enjoy the rhythm of it.
Each spin, each catch—it’s like a small reminder that I’m part of something bigger, something shared.
🚶♂️Why It Still Matters
Pokémon GO is more than nostalgia for me. It’s motivation. It gets me walking, exploring, and paying attention to what’s around me.
Funabashi is full of little surprises—shrines, cafes, and PokéStops tucked away in quiet corners. Without the game, I might never have noticed them.
And maybe that’s the real magic of Pokémon GO—it turns the ordinary into an adventure.

2016年7月、初めてポケモンGOを起動したときのことを今でもはっきり覚えています。リビングでアプリを開くと、ヒトカゲ・ゼニガメ・フシギダネの3匹が登場。
迷わずヒトカゲを選び、何度かボールを外しながらもなんとかゲット！その後すぐに外へ飛び出し、「どんなポケモンがいるんだろう？」とワクワクして歩き出しました。
この時は、まさかそれが毎日の習慣になるなんて思ってもいませんでした。
今でも、8年以上たった今もポケモンGOは日常の一部です。
船橋駅で電車を待っている間にはポケストップを回し、スーパーへの道ではポケモンを捕まえています。時には片手で歯を磨きながら、もう片方でカビゴンをゲットすることも（笑）
ちょっとしたスキマ時間が、小さな冒険の時間に変わるんです。
🌍 変わり続ける世界と一緒に
「毎日同じゲームで飽きないの？」と聞かれることもありますが、答えは「全然飽きない」です。
その理由は、ポケモンGOが現実の世界と一緒に変わっていくゲームだから。
季節やイベント、新しいポケモンの登場など、毎日が少しずつ違う。船橋の街を歩くだけでも、新しい発見がたくさんあります。
最初の頃は、個体値（IV）やレイドなんて全く分かりませんでした。ただただ、出てきたポケモンを捕まえるのが楽しくて仕方なかったんです。
でも続けていくうちに、ポケモンGOは自分の生活の一部になっていきました。
引っ越しをしたら新しいポケストップが増え、通勤経路が変われば見るポケモンも変わる。船橋でレイド仲間に出会ったり、同じジムにいるプレイヤーと挨拶したり。
ゲームを通じて、自然とコミュニティができていくのが面白いですよね。
☀️ 毎日の小さなルーティン
私の1日はいつも同じ3つのことから始まります：
1. フレンドにギフトを贈る。
2. 一番近いポケストップを回す。
3. 相棒ポケモンにきのみをあげる。
通勤中や休憩中にも少しずつプレイ。夜寝る前には進化ボーナスで経験値を稼ぐこともあります。
長時間プレイするわけではなく、ほんの数分ずつ。けれど、その積み重ねが気づけば大きな成果になっています。
レアなポケモンを追いかけるよりも、毎日の小さな積み重ねが大切なんです。
🚶♂️ ポケモンGOがくれるもの
ポケモンGOは、ただのゲームではありません。
外に出るきっかけをくれたり、歩くモチベーションになったり、普段気づかない風景を見せてくれたりします。
船橋の街にも、小さな神社や面白いカフェ、隠れたポケストップがたくさんあります。
そんな場所を見つけると、ちょっと得した気分になりますよね。
日常の中にある小さな冒険。
それが、私がポケモンGOを続けている理由です。
