Spending Time with Family and Our Cat Valon By Haruka – Jabble Chiba 英会話スクール

Hello everyone! I’m Haruka, staff at Jabble Chiba 😊
During the long weekend last week, I went back to my parents’ house for the first time in a while!

Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great, so we couldn’t really go out anywhere, but I enjoyed spending some quiet time at home with my family.

The cat in the first photo is our beloved Valon 🐾
His name actually comes from The Cat Returns, a Studio Ghibli movie
—there’s a character called Baron, from “The Cat Bureau,” and we borrowed the name from him!

Recently, Valon has gotten a little chubby, so within the family we’ve started a “Valon Diet Plan” (haha).
If you have any good diet tips for cats, please let me know!

He’s also a very clever cat. The first photo was taken by my mom, and he looks so adorable with his sparkling eyes ✨
But in the second photo, which I took, his expression looks like he’s saying “Don’t come any closer!” (lol)

It seems he knows exactly who’s the boss around here… That’s another one of his adorable traits!

And one more thing.
I finally watched Raiders of the Lost Ark for the first time🎬
I’ve always liked the series, but honestly, I’d only seen the fourth one and the latest installment until now.

When I told Paul and Diego at the Chiba campus about this, they were really surprised and gave me homework:
“You absolutely have to start with the first one!” (lol)

Watching it, it had a different vibe from the fourth one—a unique, slightly eerie atmosphere.
It had action, plenty of humor, and was really fun!

My next homework is the second one! Looking forward to it ✨
We couldn’t go to the beach this time because of the weather, but the ocean near my hometown is truly beautiful 🌊

Next time I go back, I’ll definitely share some photos!

先週の連休は、久しぶりに両親の家へ帰省してきました！

あいにくお天気には恵まれず遠出はできませんでしたが、家族とゆっくりお家時間を楽しむことができました。
さて、1枚目の写真に写っているのは、我が家の愛猫・ヴァロンくんです🐾
名前の由来は、ジブリ映画『猫の恩返し』に登場する“猫の事務所”のヴァロンから！

最近少しぽっちゃりしてきてしまったので、家族の間では「ヴァロンくんダイエット計画」が密かに進行中です（笑）
いいダイエット方法があれば、ぜひ教えてください！

そしてこの子、実はとっても賢いんです✨1枚目の写真は母が撮ったもので、目がキラキラしてとても可愛い表情。
一方、2枚目の私が撮った写真では、まるで「来ないで！！」って言ってるような顔（笑）

どうやら彼の中では“誰がボスなのか”ちゃんとわかっているようです…そんなところもまた可愛いですよね！

それからもうひとつ。
初めて『インディ・ジョーンズ／レイダース 失われたアーク《聖櫃》』を観ました🎬
シリーズは好きだったのですが、実は今まで4作目と最新作しか観たことがなかったんです。

その話を千葉校のPaulとDiegoにしたらとても驚かれて、「それはもう1作目から観るべきだ！」と宿題になりました（笑）

実際に観てみると、4作目とはまた違う雰囲気で、ちょっと“おどろおどろしい”ような独特の世界観。
アクションもありつつ、ユーモアもたっぷりで、とても面白かったです！

次の宿題は2作目！楽しみです✨
今回はお天気の関係で海には行けなかったのですが、私の地元の海は本当にきれいなんです🌊

次に帰省したときは、その写真もぜひシェアしますね！
