Watching the Futako-Tamagawa Fireworks Near Jabble Musashi-Kosugi / Jabble Musashi-Kosugi 英会話スクール

It’s Marshall from Jabble Musashi-Kosugi 英会話スクール.

A few nights ago, our Musashi-Kosugi team decided to check out the Futako-Tamagawa Fireworks Festival(also known as the Nikotama Fireworks).
Since Futako-Tamagawa Station is a bit of a walk and we were short on time after work, we chose to head to the nearby riverside, just a 20-minute walk from Jabble Musashi-Kosugi.

The area was already full of families and groups enjoying the evening.
But we noticed something strange; lots of people were already heading away from the river. Sure enough, it was pretty cloudy, and the visibility wasn’t great.
Plus, there was almost no wind, so the fireworks smoke just hung in the air, making it hard to see the smaller fireworks. You could still see some of the big ones clearly,
but to be honest, the pictures we took didn’t turn out very well!

That said, it was a cool and comfortable night, which was a nice break after such a long, hot summer.
Just being outside with friends, enjoying the atmosphere, and hearing the sound of fireworks echo along the Tama River made it worth the trip.
Another plus? Since we didn’t go all the way to the main event area, getting home was easy. We didn’t need to deal with huge crowds or packed trains.

Even though the view wasn’t perfect, I’m still glad I went.
It had been a while since I’d seen fireworks in person, and it reminded me how much I enjoy Japan’s summer events.
They’re a great chance to connect with others, enjoy the outdoors, and make memories; even if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

先日、武蔵小杉チームで「二子玉川花火大会（通称：ニコタマ花火）」を見に行きました。
二子玉川駅までは少し距離があり、仕事終わりで時間も限られていたので、スクールから徒歩20分ほどの多摩川沿いへ行くことにしました。

川沿いにはすでに多くの家族連れや友人グループが集まっていて、とてもにぎやかでした。
でも少し不思議なことに、すでに帰り始めている人もたくさんいたんです。
その理由はすぐに分かりました。空はかなり曇っていて、花火があまりよく見えなかったんです。
しかも風がほとんどなく、花火の煙が空に残ってしまって、小さな花火はほとんど見えませんでした。
大きな花火はきれいに見えましたが、正直に言うと、写真はあまりうまく撮れませんでした！

それでも、夜は涼しくてとても気持ちよかったです。
長い暑い夏のあとに、外で友達とリラックスしながら花火の音を聞く時間は最高でした。
しかも、メイン会場まで行かなかったおかげで、帰りはとてもスムーズ。
人混みや満員電車に巻き込まれることもありませんでした。

完璧な眺めではなかったけれど、行って本当によかったと思います。
久しぶりに花火を見て、日本の夏のイベントの良さを改めて感じました。
こういうイベントは、人とつながったり、自然を感じたり、思い出を作ったりする素敵な機会ですね。
