Tokyo Tower Tanabata Night

A couple of weeks ago, my family and I visited Tokyo Tower to celebrate Tanabata, the Star Festival. It was a really fun and memorable evening.

Tokyo Tower had a special lighting and projection mapping event on the main observation deck.
The projections were displayed on the floor and windows across both levels, filling the space with stars, colors, and dreamy scenes inspired by Tanabata.
My son especially loved it—he even got to write his own Tanabata wish and hang it on a special display area set up just for the occasion on the first level.

After taking in the views and enjoying the festive atmosphere, we treated ourselves to ice cream before heading home.

I think events like this are a great way to experience Japanese culture while spending time with family.
If you have the time, I recommend checking out the Tokyo Tower special events on a week night – it’s not as busy as nights on weekends.

数週間前、家族と一緒に東京タワーに行って、七夕（スター・フェスティバル）をお祝いしました。本当に楽しくて思い出に残る夜でした。

東京タワーでは、メインデッキで特別なライトアップとプロジェクションマッピングのイベントが開催されていました。
床や窓に映し出される星やカラフルな光、夢のような七夕の風景がとてもきれいで、展望台全体が幻想的な雰囲気に包まれていました。
息子はこのイベントを特に楽しんでいて、七夕のお願いごとを書いて、1階に設置された特設スペースに飾ることができました。

景色を楽しんだあとは、アイスクリームを食べて、満足して帰宅しました。

こういったイベントは、日本文化を家族と一緒に体験する素晴らしい機会だと思います。
もし時間があれば、平日の東京タワーの特別イベントをチェックしてみてください。週末の夜よりも空いていて、ゆったり楽しめますよ。
