Informed (adjective); provided with information; made aware.

  • I was informed that you wanted to see me.

Urgent (adjective); requiring immediate action or attention.

  • I have urgent business in Osaka. I have to fly out as soon as possible.

Voice mail (noun); an electronic communication system in which spoken messages are recorded or digitized and stored for later playback to the intended recipient

  • I left a message about the party on your voice mail.

Inquires (noun); a seeking or request for truth, information, or knowledge.

  • I have made some inquires into the financial situation of the company.

Healthcare Consultant: Job Description, Duties and Requirements

Job Requirements

The education requirements for a healthcare consultant vary based on the employer. Generally, the minimum amount of education needed is a bachelor’s degree. Many employers prefer healthcare consultants with a master’s degree, especially in private industries. Students interested in becoming healthcare consultants pick majors in management, marketing, economics, human resources or business. Additionally, choosing a minor or a specialization in healthcare is suggested.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), a healthcare consultant must be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision since employers expect them to be experts at improving an organization. Having effective communication skills is needed to clearly express improvement ideas with a customer. The ability to handle stress and act responsibility is important, especially when healthcare consultants acquire more experience and are placed in charge of specific projects.

  2. Private industry; noun- the part of the economy that is controlled by individuals or private organizations and is not funded by the government.
  3. To pick; verb- choose (someone or something) from a number of alternatives.

  5. Minimal; adjective– of a minimum amount, quantity, or degree.
  6. To handle; verb- manage (a situation or problem).
  7. Acquire; verb- learn or develop (a skill, habit, or quality).

The recent success of Benny Shoga’s advertising put the company in a good financial situation after a few tough years in the beginning. Employees were treated well and salaries reflected the company’s growth.

Vocabulary

Financial (adjective); the finances or financial situation of an organization or individual.

Vocabulary

今回のためになる英語は、” I can’t stand ~”で、日本語の意味は「~は我慢できない」、「~は耐えられない」となります。動詞 stand の「立つ」とは全く関係ない意味になりますので、こちらはフレーズとして覚えて下さいね。

A: Do you have any plans this summer ?
(今年の夏の予定はある?)

B:I’m planning on going to Karuizawa.
(軽井沢に行く計画をしているよ。)

A: Oh, yeah? That sounds very nice!
(そうなの?すごくいいね)

B: Summer in Tokyo is terrible. I can’t stand the heat in the city.

Frank has been working for Benny Shoga marketing company for over 20 years. He’s spent most of this time in the advertising department helping create Ads for various companies around Japan.

Vocabulary

Marketing (noun/ adjective); the action or business of promoting and selling products or services, including market research and advertising.

Examples

  1. Coca Cola has changed its marketing strategy to a united global message. The new slogan is “taste the feeling.’
  2. Nike’s marketing has been so successful that it owns 96% of the basketball footwear market.
  3. Q. Have you ever seen the commercials for Boss coffee that have Tommy Lee
    Jones in them? Boss canned coffee has been using Tommy lee Jones as part of their marketing campaign since 2006.

Advertising (noun); the activity or profession of producing advertisements for commercial products or services.  Ad. (noun); an advertisement.

Examples

  1. I have heard that BIRDMAN is one of the most famous advertising companies in Japan.
  2. There’s a lot of advertising on You Tube nowadays. Often we have to watch an Ad before we can watch the video.
  3. Q. Have you seen the Amazon recommended ads that come up when you are doing searches on line? It’s kind of scary I think.

今回のためになる英語は、as far as~ is concerned です。日本語の意味は、“~となると、~に関しては” となります。自分の意見を言う時に使える表現です。

 

Tom: Hi, Nik. Did you watch the baseball game last night?
(やぁ、ニック!昨晩の野球の試合見た?)

Nik: No, i don’t usually watch baseball. As far as sports are concerned, I prefer watching ice hockey.
(見てないよ。僕、あんまり野球を見ないんだよね。スポーツといったら、アイスホッケーを見る方が好きかな。)

Tom:Oh, You are from Canada so that doesn’t surprise me.
(そっかぁ。君はカナダ出身だから、そんなに驚かないけど。)

ためになる英語95

今回のためになる英語は、”Keep  in mind that ….” です。

・・・(that 以下)は覚えておいてね。心に留めておいてね”という意味になります。

 

Teacher : It seems that we have to cancel the marathon today due to bad weather.

先生:(天気が悪いから今日のマラソンは中止しなくちゃだね。)

Student : Yay, we don’t have to run! Running is the worst.

生徒:(やったー!走らなくていいって。走るの一番嫌だもん。)

Teacher : Okay, but keep in mind that you are going to have to run sometime next week.

先生:(オッケー、でも来週のどこかで必ず走らなきゃいけないことは覚えておくように。)
